· We enjoy a visit to one of the most beautiful towns in England, Sherborne. With its abundance of medieval buildings, superb Abbey, world-famous schools, picturesque Almshouses and two Castles, Sherborne has much to offer. Following some free time here we re-join our coach and make our way to the beautiful historic market town of Shaftesbury, perched high on a hill overlooking the Blackmore Vale. After time to explore here we return to the hotel.
· We make our way to Poole, with its bustling Quay and stunning natural harbour. Poole has always looked to sea for its prosperity and this has shaped its character as a town of merchants, mariners and foreign influence. Much of Poole’s history still survives in the Old Town with an exciting mix of smugglers’ passageways and elegant houses. After time to explore Poole we make our way to the coastal town of Swanage, nestled in a sheltered bay – originally a small port & fishing village. We enjoy free time here to explore before making our way back to the hotel.
