The Grand Tour of Ireland

08 October 2017

So much to see on this Eleven Day Tour, having initially travelled from Manchesters Birch Services on the M62, proving to be an ideal starting point with our driver Darren Bowen........

we headed for Stranraer in Scotland via Gretna Green, and a ferry that would make a short two and half our sail to Belfast, ready for our next day's guided tour of the City's former troubled areas, including the impressive Stormont building set in its own beautiful grounds.....

All hotels were of an excellent standard, in locations such as Donagal, a pretty place to relax for a couple of days, visiting the local areas like delightful Ennis where a musical festival was being held with many youngsters showing off their Irish talent.....

Killarney I know well, and always look forward to our arranged day travelling on the horse drawn Jaunty carriages, into the Ross Castle Estate, where we also took a boat trip on its Lake, the  Jaunty Carriages picked us up at the hotel entrance....

Cork City proved to rather wet, but some f us got on a Tour Bus, to learn more about this historical City.....I have only scratched the surface about this third time visit to this green and pleasant land, but I will return again, hopefully to other areas I have yet to visit.........

Dublin was our last location where we returned by boat back to Hollyhead and our return to Birch Services and the inclusive Taxi service back in my case to Holcombe Brook........

Darren for your caring services and for  your Marathon drive around .......

I enjoyed the company at the Hotel Restaurants where we got a chance to chat about other tours we had experienced in other parts of the world ........

Thank you

hope to return soon for another trip with Ellen Smith,.......

Galway and the Cliffs of Moher I have been to before, but always worth s revisit is the dramatic Moher Coast line......

it was nice to have the Agency Guide on our coach, for a 2 hour tour including the popular viewing of the exterior of the Titanic Museum......Thank you
