A Sample Daily Itinerary
The itinerary can be amended to suit you and your members desires, as can the number of days.
Day 1 - Friday
We enjoy our outward journey making suitable stops en-route to the cathedral city of Gloucester. The most inland port in the UK, Gloucester has a proud industrial past, intertwined with a rich history that dates back to Roman times. Combine this with an ever-changing and developing city, and Gloucester offers the perfect mix of old and new. Walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter in the stunning Gloucester Cathedral, get ahead with your Christmas shopping in one of Gloucester’s many independent shops cosy up in one of Gloucester’s historic pubs, stroll through Gloucester Docks and enjoy the crisp air and beautiful waterfront views. Explore Gloucester’s foodie scene, with a wealth of authentic cuisines from all around the world.
Following free time here, we continue to Gloucester Robinswood Hotel. Your accommodation at the hotel has Evening Meals & Breakfasts included.
Day 2 - Saturday
After a hearty English breakfast this morning, we meet our Guide, and depart on our tour of The Cotswolds. We discover quintessentially English villages of honey-coloured stone, and take in splendid, lively market towns. We make a stop at Bourton-on-the-Water, with gently flowing River Windrush running through the centre of the village and crossed by attractive little bridges. We also visit Stow-on-the-Wold, where mellow Cotswold stone houses and shops are surrounded by the world-famous Cotswold countryside. Stow mixes chic bistros, and cosy tea shops.
We return to Gloucester and our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
Day 3 - Sunday
Following breakfast, we leave The Gloucester Robinswood Hotel, and commence our journey home. We make a stop at Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre. The Victorian Fayre was first started back in 1992 by traders from picturesque New Street and Friar Street. The Fayre may have grown a lot, but it has stayed true to its traditional roots with plenty of Victorian themed characters, festive treats, and a wonderful atmosphere. This year there will be almost 200 stalls across the city centre, selling local arts and crafts, delicious street food and gifts. Look out for Victorian characters in Gin Lane, lofty entertainers on stilts, brilliant musicians on the stages and buskers on every street corner.
