• Our day begins with a scenic cruise on the River Exe from Exmouth.  We travel along the peaceful waters of the river, up near Powderham Castle, and along to where the river opens out into the English Channel on Exmouth’s traditional seafront. Heated lower decks have large windows for great viewing.  Time then for lunch in Exmouth, reputedly the oldest seaside resort in Britain, a lively town with a diverse selection of shops places to eat and things to do.  Later, we stop at the Donkey Sanctuary.  Besides the furry residents, explore exciting indoor attractions and find out just why donkeys matter through interactive displays in the Exhibition Barn and Understanding Donkeys Zone.

• Okehampton is a bustling market town on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park. There is a wealth of pubs, cafes, tea rooms, and restaurants where you will find delicious homemade, locally produced food.  Shopping on Okehampton is easy as you’ll be able to find pretty much everything you could ever need.  We also visit Tavistock.  Situated in the heart of an area of tremendous natural beauty, Tavistock is a vibrant world heritage town, worthy of any visitor.  Weather permitting, we return to Sidmouth via haunting Dartmoor.
