We travel to Newcastle and join DFDS for our overnight crossing to Amsterdam, with dinner and breakfast served onboard.

On arrival in the Netherlands, we disembark the ship and continue our journey to Valkenburg and the Hotel Walram, our base for the next 3 nights. Once checked-in, the rest of the afternoon is free to explore Valkenburg – a culturally and historically rich, magical town.
we head to the Three-Border Region in Vaals, the place where Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands meet. At a height of 323m, it is also the highest point of the Netherlands. Spend some time hopping between the three countries! Later, we cross into Germany to the delightful Aachen, with some free time to explore this little German city. Whilst here, we visit Aachener Tier Park, a lovely little zoo on the outskirts of the city. It is home to more than 700 animals representing 100 different species. From tiny exotic birds to huge Asian Camels and selected western European animals, the park has a colourful variety of interesting inhabitants.

The Belgian city of Liege is nicknamed the ‘Cite ardente’ (Burning City) for its cultural abundance and its warm and festive atmosphere. Liege is the unmissable Walloon destination for a stay rich in discovery and emotion. History lovers will be delighted to discover the architectural heritage of seven ancient collegiate churches, the Palace of the Prince-Bishops, the Mirror City, etc., and no visit to Liege is complete without a trip to see the Meuse, or to sample some traditional Liege meatballs or Liege Waffles.
We return to Amsterdam for our overnight ferry crossing to Newcastle, with dinner and breakfast served on board.
