Brixham is a quintessential English harbour town, but it isn’t just about fishing. It is still one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and is a working town, but it is also a place where you can discover a range of arts and culture, excellent local food, and some unique attractions - from the life-size pirate ship museum, the Golden Hind, that sits in the middle of the harbour, to the stunning views from the old Napolean fort at Berry Head. Brixham is fast becoming a cultural hub of Devon, with fantastic art murals covering many of the buildings throughout the town. Can you find the angel wings, the pirate map and the Leaning Tower of Pisa? With over 10 beautiful and huge murals to find throughout the town, it will keep you busy! On our way back to Torquay, we make a stop at Paignton for a delicious Cream Tea at the Palace Hotel.

Teignmouth, where the river beach is full of boats, has a charming atmosphere making it the perfect spot for a gentle stroll. Teignmouth has several beautiful Georgian style buildings, and the high street is lovely for a spot of retail therapy. We also visit Newton Abbot, a historic market town surrounded by beautiful south Devon countryside. The town is home to a large range of shops including a popular indoor Pannier Market, restaurants, and open spaces.
