We stop at the Lovespoon Workshop for a talk and demonstration based around the Welsh Lovespoon Tradition. The Thomas family has been hand-carving genuine Welsh Lovespoons since 1975, continuing the 17
th Century tradition in Wales. We continue to the popular holiday resort of Tenby with its old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore, and superb beaches.

Picton Castle & Gardens is Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home, surrounded by 60 acres of some of the most beautiful woodland gardens and grounds is West Wales. Picton Castle is a most unusual ancient building being as it is a fully developed Medieval castle that was transformed into a stately home in the 18
th From the outside with its four symmetrically spaced half round towers and gatehouse entrance flanked by two narrower towers it is based upon patterns of Irish castles of the period and is the only one of this type in mainland UK. As you as you enter inside it is revealed not to have an inner courtyard and keep but rather a series of finely planned rooms typical of the grand country house that it is. In the Gardens discover rare trees and plant collections from around the world and enjoy the magnificent Rhododendrons, shady woodlands, an exotic jungle garden and colourful walled garden alongside living willow dens, family trails, and an engaging adventure playground. Later, we stop at Saundersfoot with its beautiful scenery. The village has an increasing reputation as a gourmet resort, thanks to the high-quality restaurants and cafes serving local Pembrokeshire produce.

Heading south, we visit the picture-postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay. Later, we visit the Gower Heritage Centre, where we meet our guide for a tour of the Gower Peninsula, designated as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After the tour, we return to the Heritage Centre for a delicious Gower Cream Tea.
