Excursions Included

  •  We spend a free morning in the large town of Dunfermline, once the capital of Scotland.  Here you will find a wide number of historical venues such as the royal palace, a 12th century Abbey (which is the final resting place of Robert the Bruce and the burial site of 11 other Scottish kings and queens) plus much more.  In the afternoon we make our way to the Royal Burgh of Culross where we visit the 16th century palace and its beautiful garden.  Culross is one of Scotland’s most picturesque towns and wandering around this charming town is like stepping back in time to the 16th century.
  • We enjoy a scenic day as we make our way to the charming fishing village of Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife.  After spending some free time here we continue to St. Andrews, a charming and historic town, known worldwide as ‘The Home of Golf’.  However, it’s not all about golf here! The medieval centre of St. Andrews consists of a series of narrow alleyways and cobbled streets with shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a castle, ruined cathedral and two beaches.
  • We make our way to Falkland Palace, one of Scotland’s finest Renaissance palaces, adored by Mary, Queen of Scots.  Discover this country residence of the Royal Stuarts, admire the spectacular Renaissance architecture, learn about the National Trust’s conservation work including centuries-old carvings, paintings and furniture, discover the oldest original real tennis court in Britain and stroll around the beautiful garden and orchard.  Following this visit we enjoy a visit to The Scottish Deer Centre where we get chance to see the Deer plus other animals as well as enjoy the Falconry show.
