Ulverston Dickensian Festival

The Cumbria Grand Hotel was built in 1880 and is set in 20 acres of private gardens and woodland, overlooking Morecambe Bay.  All the bedrooms are en-suite and have TV, telephone, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities.  The hotel has a lift, restaurant, bar, lounge, outdoor garden area, free Wi-Fi in public areas and a minimum of 2 nights’ entertainment.

The Ulverston Dickensian Festival is one of the country’s favourite Christmas festivals.  As well as Ulverston’s fantastic specialist shops, great pubs and cafes, cobbled streets and great atmosphere, there is a huge variety of free entertainment, costume competitions, balloon modelling, horse drawn carriages, music, and dancing.  There’s also a fabulous Christmas Market with lots of unusual gifts and festive food.
